Mountain Go-Kart
Adventure seekers old and young can drive gravity-powered “convertibles” and enjoy a race-track atmosphere on Hochwurzen.
Paragliding
Take off and hang loose. For para-gliders and hang-gliders, Hochwurzen makes it possible!
Roßfeld and Guschen
Experience more of Hochwurzen by hiking to Roßfeld, or even further to the Guschen.
Through the Laabschochn
A well-marked path with a gradual elevation leads you through idyllic alms and romantic landscapes to Hochwurzen.
High Trail Giglach
The high trail Giglach - Hochwurzen allows you to “collect” mountain peaks! Schiedeck, Hochfeld, Guschen, Roßfeld - these are, literally, the high points of this exemplary Tauern route.
Hochwurzen Panorama Trail
From the summit station of Hochwurzen cable car, a short descent to the parking lot. From there, only a short way to Hochwurzen Alm.
Trails to Hochwurzen
Two steep trails allow our visitors to reach the mountaintop on foot as well. The trails can be found on Hochwurzen’s east and west side.

Winter Vacation on Hochwurzen
Hochwurzen offers a great variety of ways to enjoy your holidays. Skiing, snowboarding, and ski touring. are only some of the activities! Hochwurzen Hütte an Hochwurzen Alm also offers you a chance to rest comfortably, relax and treat your palate to hearty Styrian cooking. Come and enjoy our regional specialities in a unique atmosphere.
Skiing
Hochwurzen is part of the 4-Berge Schischaukel (4-mountain ski area). Broad, long slopes will make any skier’s heart leap for joy!
Sledding
Seven kilometers of sledding fun! Sledding down on the Hochwurzen Nature Sled Run is a special treat at every time of the day.
Winter trail
The Winter Trail (“Winterwanderweg”), a six-kilometer hiking trail, leads all the way from the Fun-Jet bottom station (Alpengasthof Winterer) to Hochwurzen’s top.
Ski touring
Hochwurzen is a favorite destination for Ski-touring fans.
